“My Uttarakhand, Addiction-free Uttarakhand” Campaign in Mussoorie and Dhanaulti – 7th Oct, 2019

Mussoorie and Dhanaulti, 7 October, 2019 : “My Uttarakhand, Addiction-free Uttarakhand” campaign reached Mussoorie and Dhanaulti. The awareness program on Drug De-Addiction was organized by the centre of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya situated at Mussoorie with the support of Medical wing, Brahma Kumaris.

The first campaigning program got organized in the ‘Radha Krishna Temple’ of Mussoorie. The program started with welcoming of the representatives of the Medical Wings campaign and the guests. Then the candle lighting ceremony accomplished.

Mr. Satish Dondiyal, Congress Leader of Mussoorie, who is also the President of ‘Radha Krishna Temple’ came as guest. He said that in today’s busy world where no one has time for anyone, in that scenario when we see the representatives of Brahma Kumaris who are doing the real selfless service for the society, it’s really remarkable. He suggested to have more programs like this which is required in the society and they will assist in this type of programs.

Vijaya bahen, teacher of Elen School and Guru Ram Rai School, Mussoorie, appreciated the effort made by Medical Wing of Brahma Kumaris. She suggested, this awareness need to be inculcated in all schools and the oath should be implement as daily routine during the morning prayers in schools so that from the childhood they can be kept away from all addictions.

BK Dr. Sachin Parab (National Coordinator of Addiction Free India & Director of Global Tobacco Awarenes – Brahma Kumaris, Mumbai) delivered his speech with the statistics of drug abuse in Uttarakhand and what are its ill effects. He also explained that how much it is affecting the society and if it can’t be controlled in present time, then what can be the hazards. He then made everyone to take oath for keeping themselves away from this drug abuses and also help others to get rid of addiction.

Dr. B.K. Ram Prakash (In-charge – Medical Wing, Punjab Zone, Brahma Kumaris, Hisar) explained the ill effects of tobacco consumption and how Rajyoga life style can help addicts to get rid of the addiction easily.

The second campaigning program got organized in Dhanaulti where the Pradhan of Dhanaulti came as the guest. B. K. Dr. Rambabu (Retired – Director Health Services – Uttar Pradesh) gave the welcome speech followed by the speech of BK Dr. Sachin Parab who explained the present scenario of Drug abuse and how Rajyoga lifestyle can help the people to transform. He addressed to all attendees and asked them to take care of their family member and belongings to keep them away from addiction or make them away from this drug abuse which is mostly targeting the youngsters.
