International Day of Yoga 2018, Shimoga, Karnataka

On 21st May 2018, the Shimoga chapter of the Medical Wing, Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF) launched its series of free Yoga camps, which was inaugurated by Mr Mr. Ashok Nayak, MLA of Shimoga, Mr. Anthony Mariyappa, IAS Forest officer Shimoga, Mr. Ashik Shah, Executive officer Taluk Panchayat, Shimoga, Dr. Harsha Puthuraya, District AYUSH officer, Shimoga, BK Anasuya sister, BK Swathi sister and BK Shruti sister.

Newly elected MLA Mr. Ashok Nayak was felicitated by BK Anusuya sister. He addressed the gathering and thanked Narendera Modi, The Prime Minister of India for introducing the International Day of Yoga. Nowadays people losing their health to gain their it they should join the Rajyoga Center.
Mr. Anthony Mariyappa, IAS forest officer, Shimoga addressed the programme and told he was very happy to be part of this programme. Meditation has more divine power and every one should practice it to lead their happy and peacefull life.
Mr. Ashik Shak, Executive officer, Taluk Panchayat, Shimoga addressed the programme and told that to improve our we should join the Brahma Kumaris Rajyoga center. He thanked the Brahma Kumaris for organising the programme which was helpfull for mental stress, inner peace and Happiness in life. He also told that Yoga doesn’t have any Caste, Creed, Rich and poor in it so, lets celebrate it as International Day of Yoga.
Mr. Shankar Muthy, Chair Person, Education Department, Yogacharya Mr. Anil Kumar.H.Sheeter also participated in this programme.

The participants were also made to practice guided meditation by Sister Swathi and Sister Shruthi, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The event was indeed a cherished one, as the organizers also encouraged the participants to get their friends and family along for future free Yoga camps which will be organized from 21st May 2018 to 21st June 2018, concluding on Yoga day.

The organizers are indeed grateful to the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India for their continuous support and encouragement throughout the planning and implementation of the camp.
