38th MBM Conference, Gyan Sarovar Mount Abu 6-9 September, 2019

Gyan Sarovar, Mount Abu: The inauguration of 38th Mind-Body Medicine conference was held at Harmony Hall, Gyan Sarovar, Mount Abu on 6th September 2019. The chief guest of this function was Shri Mangal Pandey honorable Health Minister of Bihar, speaking at this occasion he said that this is the only conference of doctors where doctors are not talking about medicine, new innovations and equipment’s but are listening to spirituality. The top doctors of the country are trying to assimilate the divinity of the ambiance. He further added that from the last two decades, people are trying to come out of Allopathy and adopting yoga and meditation to treat lifestyle diseases. He was highly appreciative of the CAD program by Medical Wing. He was amazed at the dedication of health officials of GHRC for caring the poor patients, who are not able to pay. The root of all maladies starts from mind and spirituality in the only way to keep the mind healthy.

Dr. Mohit Gupta, Professor-Cardiology, GB Pant PGIMS, New Delhi explained the objectives of the conference. Doctors nowadays are so involved in patient care that, they themselves get neglected. Emotions like anger, aggression, irritation, and lack of trust are omnipresent in this profession, that leads to disharmony. This is the only conference where the emotional and spiritual needs of the healers are fulfilled. The doctors need to give an injection of love, care, compassion, understanding, and trust not only to their patients but to themselves also. This is mandatory to ensure better doctor-patient relations.

Dr. Pratap Midha, Director GHRC gave his discourse about the activities of the Medical Wing. He told that Brahma Baba wanted that all the sections of society should be benefited from spirituality. Dadi Prakashmani acted on his advice and that is how Medical Wing came into existence. He told that meditative way of life is the core character of Brahma Kumaris. Lifestyle is the principle cause of our maladies nowadays. Our focus is on awareness and empowerment, so that the patients may take charge of their own health. He also briefed about outreach health activities, nursing education, eye hospital and trauma Hospital.

BK Yogini didi, National Coordinator, Business Wing of RERF, Vile Parle Mumbai, Trustee GHRC, Honorary Administrator, BSES MG Hospital, Mumbai also addressed the doctors and showered her blessings on them. She said that these are the pious days of Ganapati pooja. Out of the several, one of the names of Ganpati is Sukh Karta, Dukh Harta. This adjective applies to doctors also as they also relieve the patients from physical pain and suffering and restore peace and happiness to them. She also made the doctors experience the bliss of Supreme Father Shiv Baba by her guided meditation.

BK Shashi didi, Vice-chairperson, Sports Wing (RERF) greeted the doctors. She said that this conference is a manifestation of visions that Pitashree Brahma Baba saw more than 50 years ago, that one day doctors from all over the world will come here to experience the spiritual ambiance of this holiest of the holy places.

BK Shivani, Sr. Rajyoga Teacher, Awakening with Brahma Kumaris addressed the doctors and told them that in these 3 days they will be transformed from doctors to Angels only by change in their thoughts.

Padmasree Dr. RV Ramani highly appreciated the organizers for this wonderful conference, which is beyond all physical dimensions. He said that the doctors must have empathy towards their economically weaker patients. Doctors must take some serious steps to reverse the negativity that has crept up in the medical profession.

BK Mruthyunjay, Executive Secretary, Brahma Kumaris, Chairperson said that the purpose of this conference is to enlighten, empower and enrich the doctors. We have to make them double doctors, so that along with healing the body, they may also be able to heal the emotions and relationships. This conference aims at the divinisation of the mind, body, and soul. In addition, the moral height of the doctors has to be increased, only then we can have a disease-free mind, body and soul.

Dr. Banarsilal Sah, Secretary, Medical Wing, Rajyoga Education & Research Foundation, Director, Ever Healthy Hospital, Shantivan greeted and welcomed all the dignitaries and the delegates of the conference. Dr. Girish Patel coordinated the session with his elegant style. The chief guest was honored by Yogini didi with shawl and toil. 800 doctors from all parts of the country and from nearby countries like Malaysia and Nepal attended this conference.
