Camp as a Part of International Day of Yoga, Dang, Gujarat

Yoga is an efficient Indian art of strengthening the body and tuning the mind, it provides the necessary energy as well as calms the functioning of the body. Although it has innumerable benefits, Yoga is seen to be practiced only by a few, the modern fast-paced fitness regimes of the west seem to have brain-washed the youth of today. In order for people to experience the benefits of Yoga, and to convey its powers and importance, the Dang chapter of the Medical Wing, Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation (RERF) is organizing a series of Free Yoga camps for the masses, from 21st of May 2018 to 21st of June 2018. These camps are open to people of all age groups and are being undertaken by trained and qualified Yoga teachers.

On 21st May 2018, this series of camps was inaugurated by Mr B. K. Kumar, District Collector, Dang, who graced the occasion and motivated the attendees as well as the organizers by his powerful words. Among other eminent guests were Mr Ganda Bhai Patel, Founder, Dang Swaraj Ashram, Sister Geeta and Prof. Pradeep Pandey, Principal, Agriculture University, Dang lit the ceremonial lamp and encouraged all the attendees with their inspiring words. The young sisters of this circle, performed a cultural dance piece and filled the crowd with a feeling of inner joy.

The attendees greatly benefited from the programme, especially the way all Asanas were taught in a simple manner so that everyone could be included in the practice. And, learnt beautiful techniques of concentration, through meditation and tuning of the mind. The whole atmosphere was quite zealous and energetic as the people practiced powerful Yoga postures. This camp is free and open to all, people in the Dang district are welcome to take benefit from this event. The organizers expressed gratitude for the The whole group and the chapter members expressed deep gratitude for the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India for their continuous support and encouragement throughout the planning and implementation of the camp.
